Our Story:

Global Amazonian Heritage

Our journey begins in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, where we partner directly with over 500 local producer families. CHOCO PERU is more than an exporter; we are a vital link between traditional agricultural wisdom and the global B2B manufacturing industry.

By providing technical support and fair trade practices, we ensure that every bean exported meets the rigorous organic standards required by international distributors while fostering sustainable growth within our home communities.

Growing Opportunity in the Peruvian Amazon

At Choco Peru, our commitment to Peru extends beyond the products we export. We believe that developing local ingredients should also create opportunities for the people and communities behind them.

The cooperation with the National Intercultural University of the Amazon (UNIA), ORNAU and the Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity, Climate Action and the Common Good brings together academic knowledge, industry experience and Indigenous participation. Together, we aim to advance research, practical training and agroforestry initiatives centered on cocoa, ginger and turmeric.

Investing in Future Professionals

Our commitments include paid internships with accommodation for UNIA students at our facilities, connecting academic learning with practical experience in food processing and production.

Connecting Research with Practice

The collaboration provides a framework for joint research and knowledge exchange, supporting innovation in Amazonian products and opportunities for regional development.

Supporting Native Trees and Local Communities

Our commitments include contributing to native tree nurseries with UNIA. Alongside our partners, we aim to support agroforestry initiatives that bring community development and biodiversity conservation together.
